Bright red in color, this wine offers aromas of tobacco, raspberry and a slight vegetal/olive note. This wine has a spicy peppery finish with a great tannin and acid balance. Drink now but the wine could benefit from a few years in the cellar.

Our "Spantalian" offering this year was made traditional style meaning the grapes were whole cluster pressed and co-fermented. The fruit comes from Joe Hattrup's Vineyards on Elephant Mountain located in Rattle Snake Hills AVA.
Reddish-orange in color, the wine has aromas of strawberry, baker's yeast with a hint of spicy vanilla & raspberry sorbet. No spoon provided but the acid offers up a long finish that makes you want to reach for one more scoop.

This dessert wine was made from Roussanne that was left to hang until mid November, this extended hang time allowed the fruit to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars. The fruit was whole cluster pressed, after pressing, the sugar was 38.5 Brix, the fermentation was carried out for four months in once used French Oak barrels using Sauterne yeast. The fermentation was stopped when it was determined there was proper balance of suger and alcohol
